Backend Developer Intern **Company:** Wexa.ai **Department:** Engineering **Job Type:** Internship **Work Type:** onsite **Experience:** 0–1 year / Freshers **No. of Open Positions:** 10 About the Role Wexa.ai is looking for motivated **Backend Developer Interns** to join the Engineering team and work on **CognoDB Cloud**, our managed graph database platform. As a Backend Intern, you will gain hands-on experience building APIs and backend services that support data handling, cloud infrastructure, performance, and scalability. You will work with real-world databases, write production-quality code, and learn how modern backend systems are designed and deployed. Key Responsibilities * Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs for the CognoDB Cloud platform. * Develop APIs for data handling and platform features. * Work with SQL or NoSQL databases and integrate them with backend applications. * Write efficient database queries and improve application performance. * Implement features following clean coding and software development practices. * Write unit tests and help maintain reliable, production-ready code. * Debug issues and troubleshoot backend and API-related problems. * Work with Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development. * Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other engineers. * Learn and apply best practices for scalable backend development.
