**Software Engineering Intern — Foundational Data Systems for AI (Summer 2026\)** ================================================================================= **Location:** Downtown Mountain View, CA (office-based, 5 days/week) **Team:** Data Platform **About the Role** ------------------ We’re looking for **Software Engineering Interns** to join Granica’s Data Platform team for Summer 2026\. You’ll work on the same **Foundational Data Systems** that power Granica’s platform—core infrastructure responsible for maintaining, organizing, and optimizing large-scale structured data so it can be efficiently used for analytics and AI. As an intern, you’ll join a small, high-impact engineering team and work directly with experienced engineers on real systems that operate over **petabyte-scale enterprise datasets**. Projects may involve distributed compute, data layout optimization, table maintenance systems, or metadata infrastructure. Interns are treated as full engineers at Granica. You’ll own a well-scoped technical project, collaborate closely with your team, and ship production-quality code by the end of the internship. **The Mission** --------------- AI today is constrained not just by model design, but by the inefficiency of the data that feeds it. At scale, redundant bytes, poorly organized datasets, and inefficient data paths translate directly into higher cost, slower iteration, and wasted energy.
