STEM Research Intern (full-time)
Role Description
This is a internship in Hong Kong only. It is on-site only.
**Company Description:**
Soqqle Classlet is a metaverse learning app that provides an immersive and interactive learning experience for students. The app utilizes customizable avatars, immersive storytelling, NPCs, and interactive gameplay to create a unique and engaging learning environment. Soqqle has been featured in research partnerships focused on enhancing literacy education and humanities learning with metaverse technology.
**Role Description**
Content / Product Development Stream (STEM Focused):
* Work with the product team to design, implement, and optimize interactive learning systems and modules within the metaverse platform.
* Develop and integrate dynamic content delivery frameworks that align with educational objectives, focusing on system functionality and user engagement.
* Collaborate on the creation of data-driven learning pathways, utilizing analytics to refine educational content and ensure it meets learning goals.
* Contribute to the integration of user interfaces (UI), system architecture, and content assets into the virtual environment, ensuring scalable and responsive performance across platforms.
* Participate in the development of backend systems for content management, ensuring seamless integration between content delivery, analytics, and user interaction.
Game Development (Developer/Programmer) Stream:
* Assist in the coding, programming, and development of interactive game mechanics within virtual environments to foster immersive learning experiences.
* Work alongside the development team to design, test, and optimize in-game features such as avatar customization, NPC behavior, and gameplay functionality.
* Utilize analytical skills to troubleshoot, debug, and improve system performance for an optimal user experience.
* Contribute to the implementation of scalable code for metaverse environments, ensuring that game elements run smoothly across various platforms and devices.
**Qualifications**
* Current student in Hong Kong
* Research and Development (R\&D) and Research skills
* Strong Communication skills
* Experience in STEM-related fields
* Knowledge of game development or virtual environments is a plus
