Technical IT Support Intern
Role Description
We are looking for a
**Technical IT Support Student**
to join Gentex Technologies Israel and support day-to-day IT operations, workstation maintenance, helpdesk requests, procurement, demo setups, and office technology. This is a hands-on role focused on owning and maintaining office computers, most of them Linux-based, including installation, connectivity issues, display configuration, docking stations, Linux upgrades, and physical maintenance such as fan cleaning.

**Responsibilities**
* Own and maintain GTI office computers, mainly Linux workstations, including OS installation, upgrades, display configuration, docking stations, Wi-Fi, VPN, drivers, performance issues, hardware maintenance etc.
* Provide end-to-end helpdesk support for employee issues such as screens, adapters, slow computers, peripherals, permissions, and general workstation troubleshooting.
* Manage IT tickets from request to closure, including documentation, follow-up, resolution, and escalation when needed.
* Support onboarding and offboarding, including workstation preparation, OS and machine installation, access coordination, and equipment handover.
* Manage IT procurement, hardware repairs, invoices, warranties, deliveries, inventory tracking, and software licenses such as ClickUp, JetBrains, and GitHub.
* Maintain shared office technology such as office boards, conference rooms, Poly devices, TVs, printers, 3D printers, and internet connectivity.
* Create guides, documentation, and simple automation to improve recurring IT processes and reduce repeated manual work.
**Requirements**
* Student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Hands-on technical orientation, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
* Experience or familiarity with Linux and Windows workstations, hardware, peripherals, drivers, networking, SSH, and software installation.
* Service-oriented, organized, responsible, and able to follow up on requests until closure.
* Good communication skills and English proficiency for working with local and global teams.
