Role Description
**About XR Solutions**
XR Solutions builds machine learning-powered augmented reality tools for industrial clients — factory floors, heavy machinery, and complex maintenance workflows. Our customers are large Swedish industrial companies. We combine research-based optimization with AR to make workflows possible that previously were not.
**Role overview**
You will work on our production iOS app: a native Swift application with an embedded Unity AR runtime. You will build native SwiftUI features, work across the Swift-to-Unity bridge, and ship AR functionality used by industrial customers in the field.
We are a small team without a dedicated mentorship structure. You need to be able to own your work independently.
**What you'll work on**
* Native iOS features in Swift and SwiftUI
* The native-to-Unity bridge: embedding, lifecycle, messaging, threading
* ARKit / RealityKit features: model placement, tracking, spatial persistence across long sessions (15–45 minutes)
* On-device machine learning feeding results back into the AR experience
* Multi-user AR sessions
* Performance-critical 3D interaction
**Requirements**
* Based in the EU / EEA, UK, or Ireland
* SwiftUI: 3\+ years
* SwiftData: 1\+ year
* Strong Swift fundamentals — our codebase is Swift only
* Solid understanding of async/await, actors, and multithreading
* Experience consuming REST APIs in Swift
* Ability to translate Figma designs into clean, structured SwiftUI views
* Git (GitHub / Bitbucket) in a team environment
* A self-propelled working method
**Preferred**
* Unit testing: 2\+ years (XCTest or Swift Testing)
* Augmented Reality: 1\+ year (ARKit, RealityKit, SceneKit)
* Modern Swift: Observation, Swift 6 concurrency
* UIKit (coordinators / delegates)
* Dependency injection, MVVM / MVVM-C, modular feature architecture
* Unity — or experience bridging native code to another runtime

**What you'll gain**
