We are looking for **Backend Engineers** to build the core infrastructure that powers ETDOX. Job Description As a Backend Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will work closely with frontend, data, AI/ML, infrastructure, and product teams to build reliable financial technology systems. You will have ownership over **APIs, core services, business logic, data access layers, and the command/function registry** that powers the ETDOX terminal. Responsibilities * Design and develop scalable REST and gRPC APIs. * Build backend services using Python/FastAPI and related technologies. * Develop business logic and core platform services. * Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and queries. * Build APIs for financial data, analytics, portfolios, research, and user services. * Develop and maintain the ETDOX command/function registry. * Integrate backend services with data pipelines and AI/ML systems. * Implement authentication, authorization, validation, logging, and error handling. * Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability. * Write unit and integration tests. * Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions. * Work with DevOps engineers to deploy and monitor production services. * Contribute to technical documentation and engineering standards. Required Skills * Strong knowledge of **Python** * Experience with **FastAPI** or similar backend frameworks * Strong understanding of **REST APIs** * Good knowledge of **PostgreSQL and SQL** * Understanding of backend architecture and software engineering principles * Knowledge of **Git/GitHub** * Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms * Ability to write clean, maintainable and testable code Good to Have * Go * Java / Spring Boot * gRPC * Redis * Kafka * Docker * Kubernetes * Microservices architecture * AWS / Azure * Financial markets or FinTech experience * Experience building high-throughput or low-latency systems Who Can Apply?
