IT Risk and Compliance Internship

**What to Expect** Start date: August/September 2026 Location: Amsterdam Duration: 6 months Time type: Full-time (40 hours a week) NOTE: YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN EDUCATION DURING THE ENTIRE INTERNSHIP TO BE CONSIDERED. Tesla is looking for an IT Risk and Compliance Intern to join our Governance, Risk and Compliance team with experience / interest in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and the testing of new software capabilities, programs, applications, and risk assessments. You will help run the risk and compliance efforts to design, evaluate and improve Tesla’s IT Controls. You will join the IT Compliance team as part of the CIO's organization and manage activities across the global organization. **What You'll Do*** Partner and coordinate with Business process teams, engineers, legal, internal and external auditors, and other testing groups to best address relevant risks to Tesla * Coordinate areas of improvement, create action plans, and implement changes in a timely manner * Collaborate with engineers, business process owners, InfoSec, Internal Audit, external audit, and systems owners in the testing of new software capabilities, programs and applications, and risk assessments * Detailed documentation of SDLC packages, risk assessments and IT controls testing for new applications and programs * Design and test new automated controls and IT General controls for new systems coming into SOX scope * Assess incoming AI agent implementations to ensure full compliance with SDLC requirements, SOX controls, data privacy standards, and emerging regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act) * Collaborate with Business, IT, and Legal teams to support updates to policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements **What You'll Bring*** Enrolled in a relevant field such as information security, cyber security, IT, or a related discipline * Great people skills and ability to work well in fast paced team environment with a wide range of technical and non-technical teams * Have prior internship or work experience in IT auditing, IT consulting or compliance, with experience in a Big Four firm is a plus * Level C1 in English; Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams globally * Demonstrate an analytical mindset and a problem-solving orientation * Show openness and enthusiasm for working in a culturally diverse environment Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
