**Who we are**
Xphlora is an Amsterdam-based fashion tech startup building a Shazam for fashion. You know that feeling when you see the perfect outfit on TikTok or Instagram and spend hours trying to find where it's from, only to end up with nothing? We're solving that.
Our app lets you screenshot any outfit, upload it, and instantly find the exact item, cheaper alternatives, and sustainable/ethical options powered by AI and visual search technology.
We're founded by a young Amsterdam-based entrepreneur with a clear vision, a strong brand, and real momentum. We're now building the team that will take Xphlora from prototype to market leader.
This is early stage, moving fast, which means no bureaucracy, real ownership, and the chance to build something from the ground up that people will actually use every day.
**About the role**
As our AI/Software Development Intern, you'll work directly on the core technology that makes Xphlora work. Success in this role looks like meaningful contributions to our codebase, improved search accuracy, and features that real users will interact with every day.
**Responsibilities**
* Contribute to the development of the Xphlora iOS app
* Work on visual search and fashion recognition models
* Assist with training and improving AI models for better search accuracy
* Integrate and test third-party AI APIs and affiliate network connections
* Contribute to backend development and data pipelines
* Document your work clearly so the team can build on it
**Qualifications**
* Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related HBO or WO program (Not currently enrolled? You're still welcome to apply, and we can further discuss the possibilities)
* Experience with Python, Swift, React Native, or machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
* Interest in computer vision, recommendation systems, or consumer app development
* Proactive and self-starting
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills in English
