**About the role**

We're seeking a motivated **Software Engineering Intern** to help prototype and productize thenext generation of human-computer interfaces. This role offers hands-on experience across front-end, back-end, and dev tools, with a focus on building polished user-facing applications and supporting internal research workflows. You’ll work directly with a tight-knit, high-caliber team of engineers, designers, and researchers to bring new interaction paradigms to life. We are an early-stage, stealth tech startup based in San Francisco, developing innovative hardware that rethinks human-computer interaction. While we can’t reveal too much just yet, our team is tackling cutting-edge engineering challenges to bring revolutionary products to life.
**What you'll do**
------------------
* Build applications for web, mobile, and embedded clients that interact with our hardware.
* Develop backend services for real-time interaction and data streaming.
* Create internal tools for data labeling, visualization, and debugging.
* Rapidly prototype new user experiences for novel input methods.
* Work closely with full-time engineers to ship stable, high-performance software.
* Document and clearly present engineering findings and design decisions.
**Strong candidates may have**

* Experience with **Python, TypeScript, React, Linux, command-line development**
* Independent work ethic, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Comfortable in fast moving startup environment, excited to build independently
