Role Description
* A Biomedical Engineer Intern assists in designing, testing, and maintaining medical devices, equipment, or software, often working in hospitals, research labs, or medical device firms. Responsibilities typically include troubleshooting, calibrating equipment, analyzing data from trials, assisting with technical documentation, and supporting clinical engineering projects.
* Key Responsibilities \& Duties
* Medical Equipment Maintenance: Assist in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating medical devices like ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
* Design \& Development: Support the creation of new medical products, instruments, and devices.
* Testing \& Evaluation: Perform verification testing, risk management, and quality control of products.
* Data Analysis \& Reporting: Analyze data from research experiments or clinical studies to assess safety and efficacy.
* Clinical Support: Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand technical issues and provide support. Requirements
* Education: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related field.
* Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical circuits, medical terminology, and basic laboratory techniques.
* Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD software, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or data analysis tools.
* Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team, and good verbal/written communication.
