Software Engineer Intern

Location : Orchard, Singapore INSPHERE TECHNOLOGY is a Singapore-based software innovation company established in 2010, providing SECS/GEM connectivity and automation solutions for legacy equipment/tools in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries. We serve global clients, including equipment manufacturers and end-user fabs, with cutting-edge solutions that enable smart factory integration and automation. **About the Role:** As a Software Developer Intern, you will work closely with experienced software engineers to design, develop, and maintain C# .NET-based desktop and service applications used in real semiconductor manufacturing environments. This role provides hands-on exposure to WPF desktop development, .NET Core services, and gRPC-based communication, as well as the practical use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and testing. **Responsibilities:** * Develop and enhance C# .NET Core applications under the guidance of senior engineers * Contribute to WPF desktop applications following MVVM design patterns * Assist in developing and maintaining gRPC services for internal and inter-process communication * Write unit tests and support integration testing activities * Debug and troubleshoot application issues in development and test environments * Use AI-assisted tools to assist with coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation * Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices * Assist in preparing technical documentation and internal tools * Gain exposure to industrial software systems and factory automation workflows **Qualifications:** **To qualify for this internship, you should have:** * Good familiarity with C# and .NET Core * Basic experience with WPF and understanding of MVVM concepts * Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. claude.ai, co-pilot etc) * Understanding of object-oriented programming principles * Familiarity with Windows or Linux development environments. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills * Good communication skills in English (written and verbal) What You Will Gain * Hands-on experience building production-grade factory automation solutions. * Practical exposure to gRPC-based or cloud native architectures. * Experience applying AI-assisted tools in professional software development * Mentorship from experienced engineers in semiconductor factory automation * Potential opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance INSPHERE TECHNOLOGY is a Singapore-based software innovation company established in 2010, delivering SECS/GEM connectivity and factory automation solutions (including legacy equipment/tools) in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries.
