This is the Invention Age - and this is where you come in. **General Summary:** **Position Overview** We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join the **Video System** and **Video Design Verification (DV)** teams for a **3-month internship** . This role focuses on building an **AI-assisted verification system for video codecs** , leveraging modern AI techniques to improve verification efficiency, automation, and scalability. The intern will work on rapidly prototyping AI-driven tools using scripting and vibe coding approaches, and apply them to real-world video codec verification problems. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and implement **AI-assisted verification workflows** for video codecs * Develop **scripts and automation tools** for: + Test generation and execution + Result analysis and regression triage * Integrate AI models or agents to assist with: + Intelligent query and analysis of verification data + Anomaly detection and root-cause exploration * Collaborate with **Video System and DV engineers** to understand verification needs and improve productivity * Prototype quickly using **vibe coding and AI-assisted development tools** **Required Qualifications (Must-have)** * Strong **scripting and automation skills** (e.g., Python, Shell, or similar) * Experience with **vibe coding** and rapid prototyping using AI-assisted coding tools * Solid understanding of **software engineering fundamentals** * Ability to independently design and implement end-to-end solutions * Comfortable working with unstructured or semi-structured data (logs, configs, documents) **Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)** * Hands-on experience building **AI systems such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)** * Familiarity with **embeddings, vector databases, and prompt design** * Experience applying **AI or agent-based systems** to automation or engineering workflows * Basic understanding of **video codecs** (e.g., H.264/AVC, HEVC, VVC, AV1\) * Exposure to **video processing, multimedia systems, or verification flows** **What You Will Gain** * Exposure to **industry-grade video codec verification environments** * Hands-on collaboration with system architects and DV engineers * Opportunity to own and deliver a complete AI-driven tool from concept to prototype * Experience at the intersection of **AI, automation, and video systems** **Applicants** : Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
