QA Test Engineer (Intern)

**About the Role** Innobayt is seeking a motivated **QA Test Engineer Intern** to join our growing team in Dubai. This role offers hands-on experience in software quality assurance, where you will contribute to testing web and mobile applications and ensuring a smooth, reliable user experience. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** **Test Planning \& Strategy** * Review product requirements and technical specifications to define test approaches * Assist in creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios * Identify test scope, risks, and propose mitigation strategies **Test Execution** * Perform manual testing for web and/or mobile applications * Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing * Validate UI/UX consistency and overall user experience * Support automation testing efforts using relevant tools and frameworks **Defect Management** * Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as **Jira** * Collaborate with developers to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues * Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing **Automation \& Tools** * Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts (if applicable) * Improve testing efficiency through automation practices * Gain exposure to tools such as **Selenium**, **Cypress**, or **Playwright** **Collaboration \& Communication** * Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment * Participate in sprint ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives * Provide clear and concise test reports and progress updates **Quality Assurance \& Continuous Improvement** * Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices * Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release cycles * Contribute to continuous improvement of QA methodologies **What You’ll Learn** * End-to-end software QA lifecycle in a fast-paced product development environment. * Hands-on exposure to tools like Postman (API Testing), Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (if applicable). * Bug tracking and Agile practices. * Basics of CI/CD and automation pipelines (based on project assignments). * Best practices in usability and performance testing. **Preferred Skills \& Qualifications** * Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Basic understanding of QA concepts and SDLC. * Familiarity with web/mobile applications and testing strategies. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and improve continuously. **Good to Have (Not Mandatory)** * Exposure to any bug tracking tool (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.) * Knowledge of SQL and basic database queries. * Understanding of REST APIs and tools like Postman. * Interest in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.) **Why Intern at Innobayt?** * Be part of a dynamic team building real-world applications. * Opportunity to receive mentorship and hands-on training from industry professionals. * Get exposed to projects across industries – fitness, fintech, healthcare, and AI. * Flexible work culture and potential for a full-time position after internship completion.
