**Summer Internship – Playground Design Assistant** Wrexham, North Wales Ace Play Ltd Summer 2026 (Flexible start dates) **About Us** Ace Play Ltd is a leading playground design, installation and surfacing company based in North Wales. We work with schools, local authorities and housing developers to create engaging, inclusive and high-quality outdoor play spaces. **The Role** We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic **Summer Intern** to join our team and support the design of playgrounds and outdoor spaces. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in **design, landscaping, architecture or product design** to gain hands-on experience within a growing business. **What You’ll Be Doing** * Assisting with the creation of playground design concepts * Supporting layout plans and visual designs (2D / 3D where possible) * Working with our team to develop inclusive and engaging play spaces * Researching new play equipment and design ideas * Helping prepare visuals and documents for tender submissions **What We’re Looking For** * A creative mindset with an interest in design * Studying (or recently studied) in a relevant field (e.g. Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering) * Basic knowledge of design software (e.g. SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar) – desirable but not essential * Good attention to detail * Strong communication skills * A proactive and positive attitude **What You’ll Gain** * Real-world experience working on live playground projects * Exposure to tendering and client design processes * Opportunity to build a strong portfolio * Mentorship from an experienced team * Potential for future opportunities within Ace Play Ltd Job Type: Internship Contract length: 2 months Pay: £9\.00-£13\.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 per week Work Location: In person
