Software Development Intern

**We currently have an opportunity for a 2026 Summer Intern at OSG in our Carol Stream, IL facility. This is a compensated internship with no health benefits or paid holidays/ vacation time and will run through the summer months of May – August.** **Job Title** : Software Development Intern **Position** : Intern, 40 Hours/Week **Work Location** : Carol Stream, IL **Onsite:** 4 days a week **Responsibilities** * Build and ship real features alongside a team of interns, guided by a Sr. Software Engineer, not just closing tickets, but delivering functionality that users depend on * Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Anthropic's Claude Code, as a core part of your daily workflow to accelerate coding, problem-solving, and code review * Collaborate in a team environment using modern software development practices including version control, code reviews, and iterative delivery * Contribute to the design and development of internal systems and applications, gaining hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle * Work directly with engineering leadership to scope, build, and demo new capabilities, building the kind of portfolio work that sets you apart heading into senior year **Position Qualifications** We are looking for a highly resourceful and analytical college junior or senior student with the following attributes:  • GPA requirement: 3\.0 GPA or higher * Working towards Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program in Engineering/Technology, Business, or a related field. * Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and strong Excel skills preferred. * Critical thinking/problem solving coupled with assertiveness to pursue necessary information to resolve issues. * Intellectually curious with a passion for learning. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail. * Ambitious and capable of working independently; proactive attitude towards professional development.
