Position Summary: We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team working on our cloud-native product suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, be aware of cloud-native technologies and passionate about distributed systems demonstrating a willingness to learn new technologies. Roles and Responsibilities: * Contribute to the development of cloud native products and services for our Kubernetes product ecosystem. * Learn and collaborate with the team to design and implement the product roadmap. * Support Cloud infrastructure deployments using Platform9 products, including troubleshooting and problem resolution. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field. * Excellent programming skills in a major programming language. Python or Golang is preferred. * 0-2 yrs experience * Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes is a plus. * Prior experience with OpenStack/DevStack is also a plus. * Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals with willingness to learn and build products in the cloud computing and virtualisation space. * Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Being a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment. **Location** : As we have our HQ in San Jose California, it would be great to get local candidates but we are open to candidates from other remote locations within the US. **Visa Sponsorship** : Platform9 will sponsor the H1 costs for students already in the U.S. shifting from OPT or STEM-OPT to H-1B (a "change of status") provided the recently revised H1B fees do not apply for ‘a change of status’.
