Role Description

**Project Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Intern to drive the development of advanced ML models for electrochemical energy systems, specifically Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers. This role focuses on establishing rigorous ML techniques for Reduced Order Modeling (ROM), advanced control strategies, and predictive maintenance. You will work with large datasets to create data-driven digital twins that optimize performance and system longevity.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **ML Model Development:**
Design, implement, and validate high-fidelity ML models.
* **Data Engineering:**
Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and preprocessing on complex time-series data.
* **MLOps:**
Integrate models into reproducible ML pipelines using industry-standard tools.
* **Cross-functional Collaboration:**
Work with electrochemical and process engineers to integrate ML models into overall system design.
* **Documentation:**
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to scientific reports or patent applications.
**Ideal Candidate**
* **Education:**
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
* **Technical Expertise:**
* Strong knowledge of ML for Reduced Order Modeling (ROM), including autoencoders or dimensionality reduction.
* Hands-on experience with time-series analysis and sequence modeling (RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).
* Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
* **Preferred Skills:**
Interest in electrochemical systems (fuel cells, batteries) and familiarity with Git/MLOps.
* **Soft Skills:**
Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts to a multidisciplinary team.
