Job Description This project includes 1) design and prototyping of a morphing parabolic antenna for space applications; 2) actuating the parabolic antenna through 4D additive manufacturing. In-scope: morphing structure design and prototyping Out-of-scope: electronics/ circuit design and simulation. Responsibilities: * Conduct research on 4D additive manufacturing (4DAM) and deployable structures with guidance. * Assist in designing and modelling deployable structures. * Perform prototyping, testing, and analysis of physical models to evaluate performance. * Document results and findings in technical reports or research papers. Requirements: * Educational Background: Master/ bachelor students that are currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or relevant disciplines. * Technical Skills: + Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). + Familiar with programming and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Abaqus).
