Software engineer intern

We're an early-stage startup building AI-powered study tools for college students. Looking for a software developer intern to help build real features that ship to users. This isn't a "watch and learn" internship — you'll write production code, ship features, and work directly with the founder. We're customer-driven: everything we build starts from real student pain points, and we use AI tools like Cursor and Kiro to move fast. Great opportunity to get hands-on startup experience and build something people actually use. What you'll work on: * Build frontend UI with React / Next.js / TypeScript * Develop backend APIs and integrate with OpenAI * Work with PostgreSQL and cloud deployment (Vercel, Supabase) * Use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Kiro) to accelerate your workflow * Participate in product decisions and feature planning driven by real user feedback What we're looking for: * Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language * Familiar with React or willing to pick it up quickly * Self-starter who can figure things out independently * Comfortable using AI coding tools to move faster * Bonus: experience with Java/Spring Boot, AI APIs, or mobile development What you'll get: * Real startup experience building a product from scratch * Direct mentorship from the founding team * Your code ships to real users — not a sandbox project * Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows * Flexible schedule, remote-friendly Job Type: Internship Work Location: Remote
