Internship · Remote / APAC Tech Internship (Full Stack, Data Science & AI/ML) Internship · 3–6 months #### **About the Role** At Aye, we're re-architecting offline commerce by building the identity and payment rails for retail. As a Tech Intern, you'll join a high-velocity engineering team working at the intersection of payments, loyalty, and identity, and you'll ship real code to production. We offer three tracks based on your skills and passion: * **Full Stack**: build and ship features on our merchant portal and checkout platform (React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GCP) * **Data Science**: model tokenised, identity-linked transaction data to unlock merchant and consumer insights * **AI/ML**: experiment with applied AI for personalisation, fraud detection, and multimodal retail intelligence #### **What You'll Do** **Full Stack:** Develop features using React and Node.js; build and support microservices on GCP; integrate third-party APIs; participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies. **Data Science:** Work with payments, loyalty, and behavioural datasets; build segmentation and prediction models; visualise findings for product and business stakeholders. **AI/ML:** Work on multimodal pipelines combining transactional, behavioural, and biometric signals; prototype personalisation and recommendation models in Python (PyTorch or TensorFlow). #### **What You'll Need** * Pursuing or recently completed a degree in CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related fields * Full Stack: hands-on experience with React and Node.js; exposure to SQL databases * Data Science: proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn; experience with data visualisation tools * AI/ML: foundational deep learning knowledge; exposure to PyTorch or TensorFlow * Ability to work independently, communicate blockers early, and deliver within sprint cycles #### **Why Intern With Us** * Real work ships to production: your contributions matter from day one * Mentorship from senior engineers and researchers building frontier AI commerce systems * Exposure to production ML, distributed systems, and applied AI in a regulated payments environment * Flexible, remote-friendly with meaningful technical ownership
