AI Developer Intern
Role Description
**AI Developer Intern // Paid Internship for Startup**
Most firms now have AI tools, but someone still has to do all the actual work: chase the follow-ups, remember what was said in the last meeting, make sure nothing gets dropped.
That's usually the busiest person in the building.
Everyone has AI tools now, but nobody has fewer things to do.
We're fixing that.
AUGMTD is one place where email, meetings and tasks connect, with a team of AI coworkers that do the actual work: drafting, chasing, summarising, reporting back and more. And for the person running the company, you finally see how AI is actually being used inside your organisation.
We're early. No big team. Just a product in the works and a few customers.
We need someone to help us build it.
**You'll ship real features to real customers from week one.**
Our customers are mostly in regulated industries. They can't afford an AI that forgets context, leaks data or breaks on a Monday morning. We're looking for someone who loves building with AI and cares just as much about what happens after the demo.
**What you'd actually do:**
* Build AI agents that connect to email, calendars, tools and documents
* Work on LLM pipelines, integrations and private, self-hosted models
* Write the tests and evals that tell us when something is good enough to ship
* Find what breaks before our customers do, and fix it
* Use AI to do all of the above 10x faster
**Who we're looking for:**
* You've built something on your own: a side project, a hackathon build, a tool people actually use
* AI is already part of how you code, and you test it before you ship it
* You care about what works in production, not just what looks good in a demo
* You're proactive, not reactive
* Lisbon-based preferred
**What you get:**
* Paid internship
* Real product work from day one
* See every part of how an early-stage AI product gets built and shipped
* If it's a good fit, we'd love to keep you on after the internship
Please send us something you've built, your Github, your X/Twitter profile (if you have one) and your CV.
