**About the role*** As a Technical Intern, System Control Firmware Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, testing, and debugging robust and innovative firmware for Ampere’s SoC production systems. You will collaborate closely with experienced software development engineers, contributing to breakthrough solutions that advance cloud computing technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment focused on delivering world-class products.
* In this role, you will join our Firmware/Software Development team and gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of server-class firmware and software development. You will collaborate closely with experienced software engineers, gaining real-world insight into the design and development of firmware and software components for cutting-edge technologies. This opportunity will deepen your understanding of the development lifecycle within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

**What you’ll achieve*** Perform post-silicon bring-up of System Control Processor firmware, ensuring successful initialization and operation.
* Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware and software issues across multiple subsystems, including firmware and operating systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive timely resolution of complex FW/SW bugs.
* Provide support for multiple platforms and projects, serving both internal teams and external customers.
* Develop and implement protocols and interfaces for communication between various subsystems and system-wide components.

**About you*** Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, excellent team player.
* Coursework or experienced in programming with C/C\+\+
* Coursework or experienced in MCU (Microcontroller Unit) or Microprocessor concepts. Familiarized with ARM Cortex architecture is a Plus.
* Basic knowledge of software development environment and tools such as the use of git, gitlab, github, Jira.
* Ability to efficiently debug, root cause, and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems.
* Demonstrated skill in problem solving.
* Experience in either Firmware, Device Driver, Real Time OS (RTOS), or Linux software development is a plus.
* Knowledge of embedded hardware interfaces: UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, CAN…
* Experience in writing sustainable/maintainable quality code.
* Good communication skills.
**Education*** Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science/ computer engineering/ electrical and Electronic Engineering as a 4th year Students with strong academic record or equivalent.
