MLSC Data Scientist Intern

You will leverage your strong collaboration skills and ability to extract valuable insights from highly complex data sets to ask the right questions and find the right answers in the life science industry. **Requirements:** * Must have US work authorization * Must be enrolled in MA University or College * Must be able work in person 40% of the work at Needham office **Responsibilities:** * Research, develop, and pilot advanced models and techniques to solve business problems * The work will primarily focus on data related to pharmaceutical development candidates and clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas * Develop a custom LLM pipeline and predictive models within life science industry using Catailyst’s datasets * Write Python code to scrape and extract information from publicly available data sources * Analyze existing datasets to create ML training files **Qualifications** * Undergraduate or Graduate degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience * Excellent Python coding skills, particularly geared towards data science applications * Experience and/or passion for working with NLP, LLM, Deep Learning data science projects * Experience working with libraries and tools * Ability to stay organized and on task in a fast-paced startup environment * Ability to think critically about difficult data-related problems
