**DevOps Intern** **Location: Bangalore (On-Site)** **Job Type: Internship** **Duration: 6 months** **Stipend: Paid** We are looking for a DevOps Intern who will support the deployment, automation, and operation of a complete software platform, including frontend applications, backend services, databases, and integrated systems. This role focuses on enabling smooth development-to-production workflows, ensuring that all components of the platform work together reliably, securely, and efficiently. The DevOps Intern will act as a bridge between development, QA, and production environments, helping deliver a stable, scalable & production-ready system. **Roles and Responsibilities** **End-to-End Platform Deployment** * Support deployment of the entire software platform, including frontend, backend, APIs, databases & integrations. * Ensure all system components are correctly configured & function together across environments. * Assist in environment setup for development, testing, staging & production. **CI/CD Pipeline & Automation** * Assist in building, maintaining & improving CI/CD pipelines. * Automate build, test & deployment processes for multiple platform components. * Ensure consistent and repeatable deployments with minimal manual intervention. **Infrastructure & Environment Management** * Support infrastructure setup and management on cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). * Assist in managing servers, containers, storage, networking & security configurations. * Help maintain infrastructure consistency using configuration and automation tools. **Containerization & Orchestration** * Assist in containerizing platform components using Docker. * Support container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar tools (where applicable). * Help manage service communication, scaling & environment isolation. **Monitoring, Logging & Reliability** * Assist in setting up monitoring and logging for platform components. * Track system health, performance metrics & application logs. * Help identify, troubleshoot & resolve deployment or runtime issues. **Security & Compliance Support** * Assist in implementing basic security best practices (secrets management, access controls). * Support environment hardening & configuration validation. * Help ensure deployments follow internal reliability & security standards. **Documentation & Continuous Improvement** * Document deployment workflows, infrastructure architecture & operational procedures. * Maintain updated records of environments, pipelines & tools. * Suggest improvements to improve deployment speed, reliability & scalability. **Collaboration & Communication** * Work closely with frontend developers, backend developers, QA testers & product teams. * Support release planning, deployment coordination, and rollback strategies. * Assist developers in resolving environment and deployment-related issues. **Skills & Qualifications** **Required** * Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. * Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). * Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. * Basic knowledge of Git & version control systems. * Understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment workflows. * Awareness of cloud computing fundamentals. * Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn DevOps practices. **Preferred** * Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). * Basic knowledge of Docker and container-based deployments. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). * Basic scripting knowledge (Bash / Python). * Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloud-native tools). * Understanding of databases and environment configuration. * Immediate joiners preferred. **What You Will Gain** * Hands-on experience deploying and operating a full-scale production platform. * Exposure to frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure integration. * Experience with real-world DevOps workflows, automation, and reliability practices. * Collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams. * Strong foundation for a career in DevOps / Cloud Engineering / Platform Engineering. * Potential for full-time employment based on performance.
