Interns have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, learn from experienced engineers, and develop practical skills in software design and development. **Role Description** As a Software Engineer Intern at The Protobuf Project, you will work on designing, implementing, and testing backend features and services as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. You will write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and assist in debugging and optimizing existing systems. The role includes collaborating with mentors to understand requirements, contributing to technical documentation, and learning best practices in software development workflows and tools. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring regular collaboration with team members and participation in stand-ups, sprint activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions. **Qualifications** * Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and operating systems. * Skills in Software Development and Programming, including familiarity with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Go, Python). * Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, server-side frameworks, and database integration. * Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in designing modular, reusable code. * Currently pursuing or having recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. * Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate effectively in a team, and communicate clearly in English. * Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development lifecycle practices is preferred. * Curiosity, willingness to learn new technologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
