Software Testing Intern

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Software Testing Intern** to join our QA/Software Testing team. The intern will work closely with developers and QA engineers to test applications, identify defects, and help ensure that our software meets quality and usability standards. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in **manual testing, test case design, bug reporting, and software quality assurance**. Key Responsibilities * Understand application requirements and functional specifications. * Create and execute **test cases and test scenarios**. * Perform **functional, regression, integration, UI, and usability testing**. * Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools. * Re-test resolved defects and verify fixes. * Work closely with developers and QA team members to investigate and resolve issues. * Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected application behavior. * Maintain clear documentation of test results and defects. * Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum activities. * Assist in improving testing processes and quality standards. Required Skills * Basic understanding of **Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)** and **Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)**. * Knowledge of **manual testing concepts**. * Understanding of test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and defect life cycle. * Basic knowledge of **SQL and databases** is preferred. * Basic understanding of **API testing** is a plus. * Familiarity with tools such as **Jira, Postman, Selenium, or similar testing tools** is an advantage. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Willingness to learn new tools and technologies. Educational Qualification * Pursuing or recently completed a **Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field**. * Freshers and candidates with academic/testing projects are encouraged to apply. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with any academic, personal, or internship project involving software testing. * Basic programming knowledge in **Java, Python, JavaScript, or any programming language**. * Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology. * Familiarity with Git/GitHub is a plus.
