Job Description – Cybersecurity Intern (SOC Analysis) Company: Kapstone Technological Services LLP (KTS) Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai Duration: 4–6 Months Job Type: Internship Work Mode: On-site Stipend: Unpaid About the Internship We are looking for motivated Cybersecurity Interns with practical knowledge of SOC operations, SIEM tools, and security monitoring. Candidates will gain exposure to threat detection, log analysis, alert investigation, and incident handling. Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and manage Wazuh SIEM and agents. - Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities. - Create and customize Wazuh rules and decoders. - Analyze endpoint, authentication, firewall, and network logs. - Assist with threat detection, incident investigation, and log correlation. - Troubleshoot security monitoring issues using Linux and Windows. - Support log source integration and basic scripting. Required Skills - Hands-on experience with Wazuh SIEM and its architecture. - Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, and Syslog. - Understanding of SOC operations, SIEM monitoring, and incident handling. - Familiarity with Wazuh rules, decoders, and alert severity levels. - Basic knowledge of Linux, Windows, JSON, and scripting. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with practical experience configuring Wazuh agents, creating custom detection rules, integrating log sources, and conducting SOC investigations will be preferred.
