Junior Automation Python & Data Engineer (Fresher can apply too) **Location:** Mumbai Hybrid | **Type:** [3-month Paid Internship] | **Compensation:** Paid + PPO potential **About the Role** We track deals and transactions across the global OTT and media industry. We’re looking for a **junior engineer to build the automations and data pipelines** behind this work: scraping media websites, categorizing articles, cleaning data and moving it between our tools. **What You’ll Do** * Scrape media and entertainment news websites using **Python** to collect headlines, dates, sources and links * Categorize articles by entity type (e.g., OTT platform, studio, broadcaster, distributor, executive) using rules, pattern matching or NLP/AI-based classification * Extract key details from articles, such as companies, people and deal indicators * Build and maintain Google Apps Script automations across Sheets, Gmail and other Workspace tools * Write Python scripts to clean, deduplicate and validate data from multiple sources * Automate data flow between our internal database, Google Sheets and CRM/email campaign tools * Maintain scrapers when websites change, following site terms and good practice * Debug, document and improve existing scripts **Must-Have Skills** * Working knowledge of **Google Apps Script** * **Basic Python** (loops, functions, dictionaries, file and CSV handling) * **Web scraping fundamentals** (requests, BeautifulSoup or similar, reading HTML structure) * Logical problem-solving, especially for categorization rules * Attention to detail and data accuracy * Ability to explain your code in plain language Pay: ₹9,300.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month Benefits: * Flexible schedule * Work from home Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mumbai, Maharashtra
