Our projects involve drone-based data acquisition, photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, GIS analysis, and AI-enabled spatial analytics across India. **Internship Location:** On-site – Shaikpet, Hyderabad (500008\) **Internship Duration:** 6 Months **Job Type:** Internship (Full-time, In-Person) **Role Overview** We are looking for a Geospatial Engineer Intern to support our drone mapping and GIS teams at our Hyderabad office. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Lead Geospatial Data Engineer and must strictly follow defined workflows, coordinate system standards, documentation procedures, and quality control protocols. This free internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to real-time drone survey projects, LiDAR data processing, photogrammetry workflows, GIS analysis, and professional survey report preparation. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in drone data processing using Pix4D, DJI Terra, QGIS, Global Mapper, and Agisoft Metashape. * Support generation of orthomosaics, DSM, DTM, contours, slope maps, and shapefiles. * Work with coordinate reference systems and UTM standards (especially UTM Zone 44N). * Perform digitization, data cleaning, attribute management, and spatial corrections. * Assist in raster and vector spatial analysis tasks. * Support LiDAR-derived data processing (basic classification, contours, terrain outputs). * Participate in UAV data workflows and understand field-to-final-output pipeline. * Assist field teams during survey operations when required. * Prepare structured Survey/Project Reports based on processed outputs. * Maintain proper folder structures, metadata, and documentation as per company standards. * Follow instructions from the Lead Geospatial Data Engineer without deviation from defined technical workflows. **Eligibility Criteria** * Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Civil Engineering, Geography, Geomatics, or related field. * Basic understanding of coordinate systems and projections. * Working knowledge of at least AutoCAD, Google Earth Pro and one GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS ). * Interest in drone mapping, LiDAR, and spatial data analysis. * Willingness to work on-site and participate in field assignments. **Preferred Skills** * Basic familiarity with Pix4D, DJI Terra, QGIS, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, or Agisoft Metashape. * Understanding of DEM, DSM, contour generation, and orthomosaic processing. * Introductory knowledge of Python for GIS automation. * Basic understanding of LiDAR concepts. * Interest in Web GIS technologies (Leaflet, Mapbox, Google Maps APIs). * Awareness of drone flight planning concepts. * Strong discipline in following technical standards and documentation procedures. **Internship Learning Exposure** * Real-world drone survey project workflows * LiDAR data processing and terrain modeling * Raster analysis and slope classification * NDVI and vegetation analysis * Survey report preparation and client delivery documentation * Exposure to infrastructure, land development, and corridor mapping projects **Selection Process** Shortlisted candidates will receive a GIS Task Assignment to be completed within 2–4 days. **Sample Task Structure** Task 1: Administrative Mapping Reproject shapefile to UTM Zone 44N and generate a choropleth map. Task 2: Buffer \& Spatial Analysis Generate buffers and clip with AOI boundaries.
