Role Description

**Company Overview** Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. **Start your career with the Strategic Student Program (SSP)** The Strategic Student Program is our formal internship program globally. You will be mentored by guides and again invaluable professional experience. At Siemens, SSP interns get access to an international student network and community, career development opportunities with professional growth pathways, comprehensive practical training throughout the program, access to the Siemens Learning Hub and other training materials, and the opportunity to collaborate on exciting projects within a global, diverse team. **Position Overview** In collaboration with the Nexus team, which develops the Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for Simcenter Amesim APIs, you will be responsible for designing and developing an evaluation platform (either standalone or integrated into CI pipelines). The objective is to analyze and compare the performance of MCP-based workflows and automate result validation by leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs). **Key Responsibilities** * Design and implement robust test suites (using MLflow or equivalent tools) to measure the performance, quality, and relevance of AI agents and MCP-driven interactions with Simcenter Amesim. * Develop a dedicated evaluation platform to automate the testing, monitoring, and benchmarking of AI workflows. * Investigate and integrate LLM-based evaluation techniques to automatically validate generated results and assess workflow quality. * Work in a rapidly evolving technological environment, requiring a high degree of adaptability. As the field advances and team priorities evolve, the scope and direction of the project may be refined over time to align with emerging technologies and business needs. **This six-month internship is based in Villeurbanne, near Lyon (69), and starts from January 2027.** **Qualifications** Currently enrolled in a Master's-level engineering program (Bachelor +5 / MSc or equivalent) in France, specializing in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field. * You have strong software development skills (particularly in Python and Go) and a strong interest in AI, LLMs, and agent-based architectures. * You have knowledge of, or a keen interest in testing frameworks, performance analysis, and continuous integration practices (CI/CD, MLflow, or similar tools). * You are curious, self-motivated, and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced technological environment that is constantly evolving. * Your French and English communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively within international and cross-functional teams. * You are capable of working independently while also benefiting from the guidance and support of one or more mentors. **Why Us** At Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work—hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy. Together, 30,000 people across more than 200 countries build technology that shapes the real world. You will grow through real projects, strong technical peers, and global mobility, backed by the scale and benefits of an industrial software leader.
