Quality Assurance Intern - Summer 2026
Role Description
**Quality Assurance Intern**
The Quality Assurance Intern will work with Park Place’s London-based Development and QA team to help test Park Place Technologies (PPT) Network Analytics software solutions across all supported platforms, using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques, to ensure they meet or exceed PPT’s quality standards and are suitable for public release.
**What you’ll be doing:**
* Acquire a solid understanding of PPT’s software development life cycle, and specifically where QA fits into this process.
* Obtain a good working knowledge of PPT’s network analytics product, and how it is used to help medium and large enterprises manage their network infrastructures.
* Develop solid software testing skills.
* Help translate functional specifications into test cases, and document in the test case management system (qTest)
* Perform manual execution of test cases, capturing the results in qTest and logging a detailed report for any bugs found in the defect tracking system (Jira).
* Provide detailed bug reporting and providing help on reproducing issues, along with constructive feedback to software engineers.
* Deliver quality assurance effort to tight deadlines.
**What we’re looking for:**
* Studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking Systems \& Administration, or similar course
* Interested in a career in software testing
* Self-motivated and keen learner
* Good verbal and writing skills
* Ability to work remotely (across international boundary)
* Base level Scripting/Programming experience
* Base level understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS) and database technologies
* Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, Routing/switching protocols)
* Has an analytical and structured approach to problem solving
* Demonstrate good personal time management, to meet objectives and deadlines
* Be able to clearly communicate complex problems / solutions to other colleagues
