Junior Mechanical Design & Automation Engineer
Role Description
**About Us**
Aseiro is a design and build company specialising in custom automation machines, industrial robotics, and mechatronic systems. We work hands-on, from concept through to commissioning, on real machines that solve real problems for real customers. If you like building things and figuring out how stuff works, you'll fit right in.
**What You'll Be Doing**
**Mechanical**
* 3D modelling and design of machine components and assemblies in Fusion 360
* Building and iterating prototypes using 3D printing (FDM)
* Hands-on machine assembly, fitting, and testing on the shop floor
* Working with motion control components: steppers, servos, linear guides, gearboxes
* Reading and creating engineering drawings and BOMs
**Electrical**
* Wiring and integrating electrical panels and control cabinets
* Connecting and commissioning sensors, actuators, solenoids, and motor drives
* Reading and following wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
* Troubleshooting electrical faults on assembled machines
**Software \& Robotics**
* Building and maintaining automation workflows
* Integrating machine components, sensors, cameras, PLCs, conveyors, into Automation flows
* Programming and operating **4-axis and 6-axis industrial robots** as part of our automation systems
* Assisting with commissioning and testing of full automation lines at client sites
**What We're Looking For**
**Must-have skills:**
* **Fusion 360** — our primary CAD tool; must be comfortable designing assemblies
* **3D printing** — hands-on FDM experience, designing for print, slicing
* **Mechanical design fundamentals** — tolerances, fits, fasteners, material selection
* **Electrical wiring** — hands-on experience with control wiring, sensors, and actuators
* **Robotics/mechatronics background** — coursework, internships, or personal projects
**Good to have:**
* Experience with 4-axis (SCARA) or 6-axis (articulated) industrial robots, teaching, jogging, or basic programming
* Familiarity with robot brands like Dobot, UR, Fanuc, ABB, or similar
* Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, Modbus, MQTT, RS232/485
* Machine vision basics, camera integration, triggering, basic inspection logic
* Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or microcontroller experience
* Basic Python or JavaScript
**Who you are:**
* B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or related field
* 0–2 years of experience (freshers welcome if you have strong projects to show)
* Comfortable working across mechanical, electrical, and software, this is not a single-discipline role
* Practical and hands-on, someone who enjoys figuring things out on the bench
* Detail-oriented and reliable in a small, fast-moving team
* Based in Hyderabad (full-time in-person, no remote option)
**Compensation \& Growth**
Starting salary is ₹20,000–₹25,000/month depending on your background and industry experience. After the first 3 months, salary is reviewed based on performance, strong performers can expect a significant revision.
