AI/ML & NLP Intern

Role Overview As an AI/ML \& NLP Intern, you will play a key role in developing the core AI brain of our telemedicine platform. You will work on building conversational AI assistants, symptom analysis engines, medical note generation, patient education systems, and predictive healthcare features. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to production-ready features that are launching soon. Key Responsibilities Build and improve conversational AI that interacts with patients via text, voice, and video using LLMs Develop dynamic symptom checker \& triage system that asks smart follow-up questions and guides patients Work on AI Medical Note Assistant – generate SOAP notes, prescriptions, and billing codes from doctor-patient conversations Create personalized patient education modules using generative AI (explaining conditions in simple language with visuals) Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines for accurate medical knowledge retrieval Integrate and analyze data from wearables and medical devices (BP, glucose, SpO2, etc.) Develop predictive models for patient no-shows, readmission risk, and operational forecasting Collaborate with full-stack and mobile teams to integrate AI models into the web and mobile app Ensure AI outputs are safe, ethical, and aligned with healthcare standards What We’re Looking For (Requirements) Currently pursuing or recently completed B.Tech / M.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related fields Strong programming skills in Python Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Grok, Llama-3, Mistral, Claude, etc.) Good understanding of NLP concepts (intent detection, entity recognition, dialogue systems) Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks (highly preferred) Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS), and embeddings Knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus Basic understanding of healthcare domain or interest in applying AI to healthcare (preferred) Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment Good to Have Skills Experience with Speech-to-Text (Whisper) or Text-to-Speech Multimodal AI (text \+ image \+ voice) Knowledge of medical terminology or previous healthcare AI projects Deployment of models using FastAPI, Docker, or cloud services (AWS/Azure) Understanding of HIPAA/GDPR privacy concepts (not mandatory) What You Will Gain Real-world experience building production AI for healthcare Work on cutting-edge LLM and RAG applications in telemedicine Mentorship from experienced AI engineers and founders Opportunity for full-time conversion after internship Portfolio-building projects that you can showcase (with publication potential) Exposure to regulatory aspects of healthcare AI (FDA pathway awareness) Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹7,000\.00 - ₹10,000\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Why are you interested in applying AI to healthcare/telemedicine * Have you built any conversational AI / chatbot project before?
