**JOB TITLE: Electronics Engineering Co-op Student** **Location: Mississauga** **Hourly Rate: $20 - $22** **Length: 4 to 12 months** **Reason for Opening: New Position** ROMET Limited was founded in 1972\. We are currently looking for an **Electronics Engineering Co-op Student** to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. The Electronics Engineering Co-op Student will perform various administrative functions for the Product Development and Engineering department and work on related projects as assigned. If you are excited at the prospect of joining a high growth, technically relevant organization this may be the opportunity you. **General Accountability:** Reporting directly to the VP of Product Realization, the Electronics Engineering Co-op Student will perform various administrative functions for the Engineering department and work on related projects as assigned. **Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:** * Work with the team to facilitate efficient processing of customer specific product requirements * Building prototypes * Prototyping, prototype-to-test, and qualification testing for manufacture * Support and analyze the customers defective returns, determine the reason, and provide a solution * Analyze data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results * Participate, as required, in process improvements to meet NPD goals * All other duties as assigned **Skills and Qualifications:** * Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills, and ability to work in a team environment * High attention to detail and persistence in resolving issues and discrepancies * Strong time management and organization skills * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced work environment * Experience using Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. * Ability to use engineering design and analysis tools * Ability to read and interpret schematics * Ability to solder and desolder micro components **Educational/Experience Requirements:** * College or University degree 3rd year or greater (BA or Business Degree) in Electronics/Engineering program * Any related manufacturing experience considered an asset * Electrical, electronic and software/firmware working experiences with electronics background preferred * Python programming knowledge is considered an asset *Romet Limited is an equal opportunity employer which values diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
