AI Product Engineer Intern

Hirex is an Applicant Tracking System used daily by modern HR teams. We ship fast, iterate often, and keep our architecture clear and practical. We are hiring an **AI Product Engineer Intern** who enjoys turning AI ideas into real product features. What we are looking for * Python fundamentals. You can build APIs, write clean backend code, and think clearly about system design. * Hands-on LLM experience. You have built something real using LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG, or simple agent workflows. * You care about evaluation. You think about test datasets, expected outputs, failure cases, and measuring quality. * System thinking. You can design AI workflows end to end and consider cost, latency, and edge cases. * High ownership. You are comfortable exploring ambiguous problems and shipping improvements without constant supervision. * Clear communication. You can explain your reasoning simply in code, writing, and discussion. What you will work on * Work on features such as candidate matching and recommendations, automated interview evaluations, AI-assisted screening, and intelligent search. * Design and maintain evaluation and regression systems to measure AI quality and reliability * Research and prototype new AI-driven capabilities inside the platform * Build production-ready AI workflows and integrations * Contribute to internal AI tools that improve team productivity How we work You will work directly on production features with close collaboration with the founders.
