Duration: 6 months

Employment Type: Full-time internship

We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to build full-stack applications that transform how HR works at Tesla. You'll use modern AI capabilities as part of your toolkit, work independently on high-impact projects, move fast, and see your code in production — used by thousands of employees across the company.
**What You'll Do**
- Design, develop, and ship full-stack software solving real HR problems with measurable impact
- Own your projects end-to-end: from understanding the problem, to writing the code, to deploying and maintaining the solution
- Integrate modern AI/LLM capabilities into production applications to solve complex business problems
- Work with HR partners, data engineers, and recruiting teams to understand problems and build solutions
- Apply software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, and containerization
**What You'll Bring**
- You've built and deployed something that other people actually used — in any stack — a live side project, a tool for your student org, freelance work, an open source contribution
- Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly
- Experience with web development stacks (TypeScript, React, or similar)
- Good instincts for what's worth building. You think about impact, not just implementation
- Self-starter with a strong bias for action — you take initiative and drive projects forward independently
- Practical experience building with LLMs and AI agents
- Excellent English. German is a plus
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus
