**Job Number:** 49807 **Department:** Lands Department **Job Title:** Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme and Vacation Training Scheme **Salary:** 11,500 **Entry Requirements:** Vacancies of summer internship/vacation training in the following disciplines are available:- (1\) Estate Surveying/Estate Management/Real Estate (2\) Land Surveying/Geo-Informatics/Geomatics (3\) Computer Science/Computer Studies Post (1\) Applicants should be full-time students (proceeding to the second/third or final year of study in 2026/27\) of a Bachelor Degree course which is recognised by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors for registering for the Assessment of Professional Competence in the General Practice Division, or equivalent. Post (2\) Applicants should be full-time students (proceeding to the second/third or final year of study in 2026/27\) of a Higher Diploma course in Land Surveying, or a Bachelor Degree course which is recognised by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors for registering for the Assessment of Professional Competence in the Land Surveying Division, or equivalent. [Note (b)] Post (3\) Applicants should be full-time students (proceeding to the second/third or final year of study in 2026/27\) of a Bachelor Degree course in Computer Science, Computer Studies or related subjects. [Note (c)] **Note:** (a) Place of Work: Offices of the Lands Department on Hong Kong Island/in Kowloon/the New Territories (b) For post (2\), please specify in the “Special Skills and Knowledge” column of the application form whether you have the below knowledge: (1\) CAD, BIM, Microstation, Python, GIS-based software (e.g. ArcGIS); (2\) operation of survey equipment (e.g. Total Station, GNSS); and/or (3\) completion of Mandatory Basic Safety Training Course (i.e. holder of a valid “Green Card”). (c) For post (3\), please specify in the “Special Skills and Knowledge” column of the application form whether you have the below knowledge: (1\) Web programming (e.g. HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, etc.), .NET, etc.; and/or (2\) SQL, Python, Java, etc.. **Duties:** Post (1\) To assist professionals in undertaking work in relation to land administration. Post (2\) (i) To carry out duties in relation to land boundary survey, topographic survey, cartography, etc.. (ii) To carry out duties in relation to digital mapping and data processing. Post (3\) To enhance the efficiency of various computer information systems. **Terms of Appointment:** Successful interns will be engaged on non-civil service terms for a period of not more than seven weeks from June to September 2026\. **General Notes:** (a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise. (h) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by email to daoar@landsd.gov.hk. **How to apply:** (a) Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions and they are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions. Applications submitted directly to the Lands Department will not be considered. (b) Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should submit the completed application forms together with copies of certificates of their student status via email to daoar@landsd.gov.hk on or before the closing date for application. The title of the post being applied for should be quoted in the subject of the email. (c) Applications which are incomplete, late or submitted by fax, not duly signed or not made in the prescribed application form will NOT be considered. (d) Interviews will normally be conducted in Hong Kong in April 2026\. Applicants should make themselves available for the interview during that period. Applicants who are not invited to an interview within 6 weeks from the closing date of application may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. Offers will be made in June/July 2026\.
